Duplicate Content Filter Hits Google Employee’s Blog  0

Matt Cutts’ blog has fallen victim to Google’s dupe content filter. Due to a trick played by Dark SEO Team, his blog has fallen out of SERPs. Threadwatch’s thread:

What has happened, is that the source of a story, in this case, Matt’s blog, has been washed out of the results pages by duplicates on other sites - it’s part of a noticeable problem in the way that Search engines hanndle duplicate content, and the trouble they have determining the original. In particular, Google seem very prone to this - and as you can read below, no one is exempt…

To cut the long story short, this incident gave the world a new term - GoogleWashing. a nice addition to the already existing company of Googlebowling and Googlebombing :-)
